DrivingTest Helper IE provides AI-powered cancellation slot alerts and autobooking for Irish practical driving tests: car & light van (B/BE), motorcycle (A/A2), truck (C/C1/CE), bus (D/D1), and CPC. Our AI system monitors for available test slots and can automatically book slots that match your preferences. See supported tests and our cancellations hub.
How can you book cancellations with our app / How does it work?
- Download the app
- Log in with your instructor's code or use the default code provided in the quick start guide
- Let the app validate your account to confirm you can book slots
- Sign in to RSA with MyGovID or your RSA credentials
- Set your preferences for test center, dates, and times
- Keep your RSA session active: with MyGovID you can enable Always Signed In (Automatic MyGov re-login) in Preferences and save; with RSA credentials (or if you prefer), log in again when the app reminds you
- Activate the app
- When a slot becomes available and matches your preferences, the app books it for you automatically.
- Congratulations, you have a test date!
How does the app charge for its services?
The app charges per test. Payment is taken upfront after confirming your RSA account is eligible to book cancellations. The fee covers the tools and service for getting a cancellation test, not guaranteed test dates. If you use the app again for a future test you get a 15% discount on the app original price.
Does the charge for the app include the RSA test fee?
No, the app fee does not include the RSA practical test fee. That fee is paid directly to the RSA to conduct the test, and the amount depends on your test category (for cars it is often €85). We are not affiliated with the RSA and don't process payments on their behalf. You must pay the test fee separately. We recommend paying it before using the app.
Why are slots not guaranteed?
Slot availability depends on your autobooking preferences, other users booking slots, and when cancellations occur. The app increases your chances of securing a slot but cannot guarantee availability. We do offer a refund if you don't get a test date.
What happens if no slots become available?
If no slots become available that match your preferences, you can request a refund for the app. Processing fees are deducted from the refund amount and rounded to the nearest euro. The app increases your chances of securing a slot, but availability depends on external factors we cannot control.
How does autobooking work?
Our AI powered autobooking system works based on your preferences. For example, if you set a minimum of 5 days for cancellations, the AI only books slots that are at least 5 days away. If tests were present for your center but were not within your notice/preferences, the AI will not book them.
Do I still need to log in every 2 hours?
RSA sessions expire about every 2 hours, and autobooking needs an active session.
- MyGovID + Always Signed In: If you enable Automatic MyGov re-login in Preferences and save, we refresh your session for you using the MyGov details you chose to save. You can turn this off anytime.
- RSA credentials, or MyGovID without Always Signed In: Log in again when the app reminds you (about every 2 hours) so monitoring and auto-booking can continue.
If automatic re-login fails, the app may still ask you to log in manually.
What if another user books the slot before me?
Slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Users with more recent logins or longer account history may have priority.
What happens after I activate the app?
Once activated, the app monitors for cancellations and sends notifications when slots are available. If autobooking is enabled, it automatically books slots that match your preferences.
How does the notification system work?
Our AI powered app monitors cancellation slots across all test centers and sends notifications based on your preferences. You'll receive alerts when slots become available, helping you secure your preferred test dates. You can customize notifications to specify which test centers and dates you're interested in.
Can I manually book a slot if notified?
Yes, you receive notifications about available cancellation slots. The app notifies you of cancellations even if they don't match your autobooking preferences, so you can decide whether to book manually.
How can I increase my chances of getting a slot?
To increase your chances, make your autobooking conditions less restrictive. For example, reduce the advance notice days required for cancellations to expand the number of slots the app can target for you.
